GamblingThe Annual Meetings of the Massachusetts Conference, United Church of Christ, have a long history of opposing gambling in the Commonwealth. Since 1981, Annual Meeting delegates have passed three resolutions on the topic (text available here) giving witness to our Christian and UCC belief in the inherent and equal worth of all of God’s children, our commitment to justice and equality for all, our understanding of the value of honorable work and fair labor, and our opposition to the worship of the unreliable and false god of fortune.
