Strengthen the Church (STC) is a special mission offering to reimagine and build the future of the UCC, shared by National UCC and Conferences where the offering is received. In the National setting, STC largely supports youth ministries and full-time leaders for new churches in parts of the country where the UCC voice has not been heard. For 2019, all STC contributions that remain in the Massachusetts Conference – 50% of the offering up to $15,000 and 90% of contributions beyond this amount – will exclusively support the Conference’s ministries with children and youth. As God calls our congregations to be the church in new ways, your generosity will develop the spiritual life of children and youth, train and inspire adult leaders for ministry among them, and help us reimagine and shape what faith formation means in the 21st century. Received on Pentecost Sunday (June 9)

Two-thirds of the offering is used by the UCC's Justice and Witness Ministries to support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects through grants. Received on World Communion Sunday (October)
